Jacob B. Kring is a business litigation attorney. His experience includes cases involving trade-secret litigation, oil and gas litigation, shareholder and partnership disputes, fiduciary relationship disputes, real estate disputes, and other general business litigation matters. Mr. Kring has tried cases in Dallas, Collin, Tarrant, and Bexar Counties, both to juries and to the Court. Mr. Kring also has significant experience in injunctive relief matters, preventing the use and disclosure of intellectual property, prohibiting unfair competition, and preventing real property foreclosures.

Mr. Kring earned his law degree in 2007 from Baylor University, where he was elected to the Order of the Barristers and received the Leighton B. Dawson Oral Advocacy Award. Mr. Kring received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2005, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance. While at the University of Pittsburgh, Mr. Kring served as captain of the varsity soccer team and was named the University of Pittsburgh BIG EAST Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year, and ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District.

Mr. Kring was named a “Rising Star” for 2012 by Texas Super Lawyers, a publication of Texas Monthly. The Rising Star designation recognizes the top up-and-coming attorneys and is given to less than 2.5 percent of all attorneys in Texas.

Mr. Kring is a former member of the Patrick E. Higginbotham American Inn of Court and is a current member of the Antitrust and Business Litigation section of the Texas State Bar, the Business Law section of the Texas State Bar, the Litigation section of the Texas State Bar, the Oil, Gas, and Energy Resources Law section of the Texas State Bar, the Real Estate, Probate, and Trust Law section of the Texas State Bar, the American Bar Association, the Dallas Bar Association, and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. Mr. Kring is currently serving as the Treasurer of the Franchise & Distribution Law Section of the Dallas Bar Association.

Mr. Kring joined the firm upon graduation from law school and is licensed to practice law in all state courts in Texas and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas.
